Registration is open for 9ine's two-day Data Security Summit in collaboration with the American School of Bombay, on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th of March 2019. Drawing from examples of data processing activities and common cyber vulnerabilities from international schools across the globe, our training will instruct on how to develop effective data privacy and cyber security strategy in your school.
Day 1 will provide delegates with an understanding of what’s required to reach compliance in light of the changes to international data protection law and learn what impact this has on international schools in India. Day 2 will support training from a cyber security perspective, where delegates will gain an understanding of cyber attacks in international education and how to develop cyber protections in your school. Registration below.
Training Location:
Kohinoor Elite Hotel, Mumbai, India
Our two-day Data Security Summit, in collaboration with the American School of Bombay, will provide professional development for school staff in the areas of data protection and cyber security. The training is designed for all levels of school leadership including Governors, Principals/Deputies, Business Managers, Data Managers, DPOs, Compliance and IT Managers and Network Security staff. Using games based learning, participants will be able to put aside any concerns about their own technical knowledge, with activities designed for both the most technical and least technical individuals. The workshop is a must for anyone responsible for data protection or cyber security in your school.
Training Approach
Our training is designed so school leaders can take their learnings and apply them back at school in a structured and measurable way. This means attendance and the consequential learnings have a great return on investment. We do this through adopting the following principles:
1. Governance - we link preparatory thinking, participation and organisational progression through the learning outputs
2. Learning through context - where the content of the training gives consideration to daily experiences from school life, with practical examples enabling delegates to understand and be able to apply lessons learnt from others schools
3. Learning through play - where learning is embedded through interactive games, giving the opportunity for debate and the distilling of knowledge into practice
Topics covered during the Data Security Summit:
All delegates will leave with an action plan, a compliance plan and a list of best practices to apply at your school.
Working Title: "Developing a culture of data privacy and achieving maintained compliance with international data protection laws"
Objective: To develop your understanding of what’s required to reach compliance with international data protection laws. Map and schedule your implementation plan into a documented output, tailored to your school environment
Working Title: "What your school needs to know and do to be compliant with the changing cyber security landscape and associated best practices"
Objective: To develop an understanding of cyber attacks in international education and acquire the knowledge to integrate and benchmark your system’s against suitable policies, procedures and best practice guidelines
The cost for the two-day Summit is £350 per delegate, with the revenue used to cover logistics, expenses, and time costs associated with developing and delivering an extensive and in-depth programme.
Feedback from previous 9ine RTC Events:
100% of delegates, representing twelve International Schools from across Europe would recommend our data protection training.
